Plants
In the next unit the students learned about plants and their importance. We learned about different types of plants: trees, bushes, and grass. Plants are very important for our lives because they provide oxygen, food, wood, fabric, paper, perfume and medicine. Additionally, we discussed which parts of a plant we eat with examples. We can eat the root, stem, leaves, fruit, seeds, and flowers. We can eat the apples of a tree, the leaves of lettuce, and the seeds of sunflowers. We learned how to take care of plants and how essential they are for our lives and the world.
